Interactive 3D heritage platform for the monuments of Nîmes — AR-ready models, a 3D encyclopedia, multilingual content, and a gamified scavenger hunt.

Visit the site

Overview

Nuxt web experience for the landmarks of Nîmes (Arena, Maison Carrée, Tour Magne) with interactive 3D models, in-browser AR (iOS Quick Look / Android Scene Viewer), a 360° panorama of the city across the Gaulish, Roman and present eras, a 3D encyclopedia, and a gamified treasure hunt (word, matching, memory, spot-the-difference and quiz mini-games) — multilingual (FR/EN/ES) with Supabase-backed content and guest tracking.

Key technical specs

  • Multilingual cultural experience with WebGL 3D scenes (TresJS / three.js, HDRI) and an interactive OpenLayers map.
  • Encyclopedia, gamified scavenger hunt and editorial content in several languages.
  • Security hardening with CSP and security headers; prerender rules mixing SSG and SSR.
  • Usage tracking and QR validation through Supabase RPC.

3D encyclopedia

Browse monuments and characters in interactive 3D — tabbed by Arenas / Forum / Tour Magne / Characters, with cards (arena, bull protomes, cruciform room, gladiators, arena animals…) that each open a “View in 3D” model.

Immersive 3D scene

A real-time 3D reconstruction inside the Roman arena — figures and animals on the sand ringed by tiered stands — with numbered point-of-interest hotspots (The Facade, The Games, The Velum) and an era switch, explorable directly in the browser.

Interactive map

An illustrated street map of Nîmes with the monuments pinned as icons (Tour Magne, Maison Carrée, Arena, Jardins de la Fontaine…), plus a list-view toggle, so visitors can locate and navigate between landmarks.

Gamified games

Part of the gamified scavenger hunt — a memory match game (find all the identical pairs) built from monument illustrations, with attempts and score tracking.
